Light and delicate and lots of it.

Cask strength offering with an aroma of over-ripe fruit bowl, dominated by bananas. There's dried fruit too, sultanas dates and figs and an oiliness that suggests old Highland petrol pumps. A little charcoal. Water brings those fruity esters up and makes it even better.

To taste it is light overall, oil, fruit and caramel with oak. Well balanced and a warming, tingling finish.

This is a delicious whisky, fruity and zesty with a sturdy lightness under it all.

For years, evangelists asked us to create a non chill-filtered, cask strength edition of our acclaimed Auchentoshan Classic. Valinch was born. The Valinch being the name of the pipette used to draw whisky straight from the cask. An appropriate name for a whisky with all the depth of taste, flavour and texture associated with sampling whisky at source. An unadulterated small batch release.

Delicious - a very pleasant change An absolutely wonderful little malt, a real "sipping liquor" as they call it over here in the States. Took a bottle over a mate's house for our regular "malt and B movie" night and we polished off half. Had to send some to my Dad in the UK via LochF. Strongly recommend this malt.
