A charming light Speysider, the colour of pale straw.

First whiff gives cream and butter and some breakfast tea. Our Cally suggested 'Marmite' and this suggestion has seeded and grown to malt extract, cooked maize and lemon car shampoo. That's suggestions for you, usually work, sometimes not. Further snouting finds a layer of esteryness as banana and pineapple. A little water confirms the esters as cream soda emulsion paint and also more mash and some tasty tobacco.

Tasted this all-engaging dram is soft, sound and well balanced. It's an ideal post-dinner cleanser and very enjoyable, quite whisky-like with an oakiness that comes after the swallow.

You can appreciate why Aultmore is popular with blenders; this is a charming, light Speyside dram.

On the Flavour map I have it in square B4, on the Light side of Light & Delicate.
