Condition is 'as good as new' unless otherwise stated. The quantities available can be assumed to be one and are sold on a first-come - first-served allocation. Items listed will be withdrawn and replaced on a regular basis.

The Grant Carmichael Collection

This is a special edition of the Collectors' Loft as it comprises of whiskies from the private collection of Grant Carmichael who was:

Grant was Distillery Manager at Caol Ila from 1963-1968

Manager at Burghead Maltings 1968-1978

General Manager Islay Distilleries (Caol Ila, Lagavulin, Port Ellen) 1978-1983 (he supervised the closure of Port Ellen)

Finally Senior Manager Islay (Caol Ila and Lagavulin) 1983-1995.

Each bottle has a sticker on the reverse signed by Grant and stating that it is from his collection. As a private collection some presentation may exhibit slight scuffing and age.

Bottled for the Italian market by Bulloch Lade the Distillery Licensee.

(Grant persuaded his employers to let some be distributed to the distillery workers, otherwise all went to Italy).
