Jim Murray's Whisky Bible 2011 [Murray]
Eighth edition, over 1000 new entries and many others updated, a huge effort, especially as this is the seventh successive year Jim has produced one. Nice to see he agrees with our choice of .
Floppy-back, 384 pages but still no magnifying glass - theres a lot of words in there...

Michael Jackson's Malt Whisky Comapanion 6th Edt [Roskrow, Smith, Meyers]
Despite the loss of the author Michael Jacksons Malt Whisky Companion remains our favourite whisky book for all whisky fans, from budding to advanced.

Whisky Distilleries of the United Kingdom 2008 Edition (Barnard)
Currently being re-printed and available April 2012...
This is the fifth facsimile reprint of this fabulous book. First published in 1888, it is both a travelogue and a study of our emerging industry. This enlarged second Birllinn edition features a fascinating photograph of the great man (for the first time) and is properly bound with dust cover and gilt page edges, classy or what?
Added this time is an additional 160 pages taken from four extremely rare booklets he subsequently published, one so rare the only known copy is a much-tashed photocopy, but we've brushed it up.
Also has an introduction by yours truly but don't let that put you off.
If you would like a signed copy, let me know, with any preferred dedication in the 'special requests' box as you check out.
First published 1888, reprint 2008. 660pp.

Best Collection Of Malt Volume II (Zagatti)
Companion volume to that below and very worthwhile.
A further 190 pages devoted to new Scotch malt additions to the collection plus a few Irish and (absolutely fascinating) American whiskies.
If you are happy with volume one then volume two is essential, no repetition or reworking. When I heard this was in production I was sceptical but have no hesitation recommending this.
