This is our principal House Malt and is a fine example of a Bourbon cask matured single Speyside malt.

Easily drinkable at any time of day this pleases both an experienced whisky drinker as well as showing the benefits of a great whisky to a novice. An ace even before considering the price.

On the Flavour Map Inverarity 10yo is a fine example of lighter whiskies in the lower left corner, combining delicacy and lightness, square D3

The first thing you notice about the new Deanston is the dreadful clear capsule, the ultimate in impossible packaging, even the most hardened tetrapak development bod would reject this unweildy, cumbersome seal, has no one in brand development tried to open one without tools?

Strong and light, a slightly oily cereal nose. Ginger cream biscuits, bristling on the tongue, great warmth. Long long finish.

The Singleton of Dufftown OB 12yo 40%alc.

'Perfectly balanced, naturally rich and smooth' according to the front label, which may be so but the real reason why this single malt tastes so jolly good is that it looks sooo good. Very soft and easy this is an ideal dram for those whose prior whisky experience has not been a happy one but who wants to give it another try.

Personally I struggled to get any flavour from it, but it does look great and I expect to sell shedfulls.

A good example of a medium-light Speyside malt. Slightly; flowery, peaty, nutty, clean, soothing.

Most enjoyable unchallenging.

Bold and full, slightly estery and distinctly European oak. More oak in taste, vanilla and bitter toasted notes, water gives a slight nuttiness. An interesting medium finish. Score 8/10]
