Fresh, nutty and salty.

Not a typical Islay but very much an Atlantic malt, plenty of fresh, sweet, sea-air character with a nutty, herbal undercurrent. Very popular in pubs in our area.

[Blind tasting note from RJ during the SFWC:

Darkish with big legs. Sweet vanilla and caramel, some peat and spice. Wouldn't have any difficulty selling this, liquorice, aniseed, bananas and aldehides. Very short finish. However water kills it dead! Not a nice finish at all. Best drunk neat. Score 7.5/10]

A briny, sweet tang about the nose, like a seawater sherbet fountain. Well balanced on the tongue (but then bitter and salt), a good swallow with lingering salt. A glowing finish of chocolate, salt and nougat that thickens to bitter cream.

Very entertaining.

Pleasing mid-sherry style, round and balanced, some liquorice - to taste there is more sherry and water gives more liquorice. A great well matured sherry Speyside style.

Full rich and rewarding, I like this instantly! Good maturation; not much whisky left but the wood is good. Mango, kiwi, papaya, passion fruit. Zesty taste, sandpaper and rust nails in ginger cake. Nice!]

Matured in a refill Sherry butt.

A cask strength bottling of a heavily peated distillation unlike usual Bunnys.

A dark well-sherried looking dram from a refill sherry butt with sweetness about the nose and heavy TCPeated taste, makes your ears 'poat' (a technical term: makes them pop out a tad). A must have for fans of interesting peated whiskies.

Ace! Slight smoke and quite bold. Taste is syrupy, peppery with slight oak. Very well balanced as Bunnahabhain is at great ages.
