The Chancellor has now announced that Alcohol excise duty will be going up 4% instead of the 8% he announced on Monday.

We have spent the last few days frowning at our spreadsheets to figure out which way our prices are going as a result of the new rates – this change while welcome, does mean a lot of wasted time (grrrrr), a summation will be declared here on Friday afternoon.
