26th March, 2007 Ardbeg's marketing ruse in selling young whisky for premium prices is reaching it's zenith with a very paletable whisky well worth thirty quid.
14th March, 2007
9th March, 2007 Gawdy Wight has left Springbank and Bruichladdich but evidently they never checked the back of his car on his last day. (Couldn't resist that even though it's untrue!)
9th March, 2007 A new addition to the Islay Mist range and redisigned packaging for the 17yo also.

22nd February, 2007 20th February, 2007 We've added on 30+ miniatures of various styles here. We've also found a couple of boxes of old miniatures that will be put on the site in the next few days including some long departed Springbanks.29th January, 2007 From the new distillery on Islay, 5cl miniatures of Kilchoman New Spirit at 63.5%alc are now in stock. Strictly speaking this is not Scotch Whisky as it is not 3 years old but it is one of the best new spirits we have tasted and has a peat level of a whopping 50ppm. We are told by the distillery that there are no plans to bottle any 70cl bottles until they can call it whisky - so at least a couple more years to wait for that then.25th January, 2007 As part of an ongoing LFW.CO.UK development we are starting to attach our Joynson's blind-tasting notes from six years of the Scottish Field Whisky Challenge - the whisky competition of which we have the most respect. Every two months seven shop-keepers, hoteliers and un-noteworthy drunks (i.e. not great 'experts' like Jacko or 'Bible' Jim) are sent 16 or so numbered samples - we have no idea if they are malts, blends or what. We assess each one, the numbers are crunched and comments edited by the enthusiast and creator Will Gardner for publication in Scottish Field Magazine. Now his website whiskychallenge.com is live with (so far) the last two years (moderated) results from all the judges, please go and investigate while we start to put Richard's unabridged comments throughout this site. Oh! and the next big event after this weekend's Burn's hoolies and what-have-you is the great highland celebration of St. Ballantine's Day; here we have a few cheeky suggestions...11th January, 2007 Cheaper Shipping to Sweden: 10th January, 2007 UK Customers: After 6 years at £6.90 we have to increase our shipping charge (to £7.50), we held off through the Christmas rush but now have to bite the ParcelForce bullet. 10th January, 2007 Collectors' Loft is now live!8th January, 2007 After over a year off-line a new COLLECTORS' LOFT* will be live in the next couple of days, a few treats and plenty that's affordable. Getting it ready for you now... *Collectors' Loft, our occasional listing of 12 or so discontinued bottles of interest to the seeker of expired rarities, be advised the prices asked are not necessarily competitive, unlike our other pricing thorughout the rest of the site.29th December, 2006 Okay, first, Happy New Year an' that, good luck for 2007, and thanks for your attention (and orders). If you are interested, a wee man called Ron (or Rob) leapt on us recently - armed with a warts-an-all-revealing television camera - and made a wee film featuring yours truly (nursing a ferocious hang-over mind) and the shop, it's very embarassing but if your interested it's at Singlemalt.tv, you will have to pay 25 bucks for a year but it is very worthwhile. The station and content (aparently unique in broadcast terms) is very good, the 'inverview' not so, in my opinion. Have a good hogmanay, we look forward to looking after you all in 2007.28th December, 2006 You can now keep upto date with happenings at Loch Fyne Whiskies by subscribing to our Whisky Newsletter: 27th December, 2006 Something that slipped through in the autumn - G&M's new non-attributable range starts with a mighty Talisker 50yo and Cragganmore 40yo, however limitations prevent cherry pickers from filling their baskets.
